CT Technologist Job Description
Perform CT and Radiologic procedures, utilizing knowledge of human structure and functions, patient care/safety, positioning, and radiation protection to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

About the Job
As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and related equipment, producing high-quality scans, and providing patient education and care. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Consistently produce high-quality CT scans of patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric age groups.
  
• Follow established scanning and viewing protocols.
  
• Operate CT scanners and related equipment efficiently and effectively.
  
• Complete quality scans in a timely manner, prioritizing work flow to meet STAT demands.
  
• Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute, and challenging patients.
  
• Solicit patient cooperation by providing education and support.
  
• Complete required documentation and assist radiologists during invasive procedures.
  
  
  Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
    
  • One year of experience performing CT procedures preferred.
    
  • Certified by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
    
  • Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT, RTR).
    
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
